Cremorne House 01
Luigi Rosselli graciously revived this grand residence on Sydney Harbour, adding to it, amongst other things, a wildly unique birdcage lift. A fascinating mixture of palettes and textures consisting of timbers, brass, steel and stone, unifies the interior and adds warmth. Colours reflect a natural environment glimpsed through glass and framed by colonial shutters. The emphasis on the clients’ own collection of artifacts has a sentimentalizing effect, while the inclusion of an eclectic mix of new furniture, objects and artwork creates a whimsical and intimate narrative throughout.
